2023-02-16 Hardly Raining
NYC avant-garde jazz group Sexmob played two sets at the Royal Room on February 16, 2023. Personnel included Steven Bernstein (slide trumpet), Briggan Krauss (saxophone), Tony Scherr (bass), and Kenny Wollesen (drums)—along with special guest (and Bernstein’s long-time friend) Tom Varner (French horn).
The event was part of the Earshot Jazz winter concert series. After Seattle, Sexmob continued their Pacific Northwest “micro tour” to Eugene and Portland. They recently announced a May 2023 album release and summer tour.
