Joining Joy was a jazz septet, including Evan Sherman (drums), Connor Rohrer (piano), Felix Moseholm (bass), Donavan Austin (trombone), Jason Charos (trumpet), David Mason (alto saxophone, flute), and Kendric McCallister (tenor saxophone). The nearly two-hour set featured a selection of jazz standards, with several selections from Joy’s 2022 album, Linger Awhile. Legendary trombonist Dr. Julian Priester was in the audience, and the band paused to honor him before performing his composition, “Retribution.”

Joy plans an extensive U.S. tour that continues through early 2025.
