Krist Novoselic debuted his Bona Fide Band at Easy Street Records on June 20, 2024. Along with the former Nirvana bassist, the group included Mark Pickerel (drums), Kathy Moore (guitar), Jillian Raye (vocals), and Jennifer Johnson (vocals). They played mostly songs from Novoselic’s other bands: Giants in the Trees, 3rd Secret, and Nirvana.

The show served as convention for Washington’s new Cascade Party. Novoselic was seeking at least 1000 petition signatures to become a “bona fide” party by state rules. The Bona Fide Band also played free shows in Aberdeen and Ellensburg this week. The group performs at Belltown Yacht Club on July 11.
