Puget Sound Mycological Society Wild Mushroom Show

2021-10-23 Hardly Raining

The Puget Sound Mycological Society (PSMS) 2021 Wild Mushroom Show is taking place this weekend. Now in its 58th year, the annual event features mushroom specimens, identification, tasting, lectures, and cultivation kits. Last year’s show was held virtually because of COVID-19. Visit PSMS’s web site for further details, tickets, and the lecture schedule.

Proceeds benefit PSMS, a nonprofit organization operated by volunteers. One of the largest mycological societies in the U.S., PSMS sponsors foraging field trips, identification clinics, educational workshops, and other mushroom-related events. Families can become PSMS members for $30 a year.

The event will be held in person at North Seattle College cafeteria on Saturday 12-6pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets are available at the door, although PSMS encourages the public to purchase tickets online ahead of time. Attendees must show proof of vaccination and wear a mask.
