2022-09-16 Hardly Raining
Danish electronic artist Anders Trentemøller kicked off his North American tour at The Showbox on September 16, 2022. Based in Copenhagen, Trentemøller is a composer, musician, and producer. Joining him were Icelandic artist DíSA (vocals, guitar), Silas Tinglef (drums), Brian Batz (guitar), and Jacob Haubjerg (bass).
Trentemøller creates techno that draws on diverse musical influences. His 2022 album, Memoria, incorporates elements of shoegaze and motorik. The 13-tune set emphasized the new album, and also included a Raveonettes cover. Trentemøller continues with a European tour through December.
TOM and His Computer (Thomas Bertelsen) opened with a set of electronic music, and visuals on an old Samsung CRT monitor. An artist on Trentemøller’s In My Room label, TOM released the Heart Blossom EP last month.
