Modest Mouse (w/ Sun Atoms) at the Showbox

Portland indie-rockers Modest Mouse played three sold-out nights at The Showbox on November 21-23, 2022. Formed in Issaquah in 1993, the group has been integral to the Pacific Northwest alternative music scene.

Their The Lonesome Crowded West tour commemorates the 25th anniversary of their 1997 album by that title. Most recently, Modest Mouse released The Golden Casket.

Opening were fellow Portlanders Sun Atoms. The band is a new psychedelic project of vocalist–guitarist JSun Adams (The Upsidedown, Pete International Airport). They released Let There Be Light in 2021. On December 17, Sun Atoms will return to Seattle to play the Sunset Tavern.

Modest Mouse and Sun Atoms play another sold-out show together tonight in Portland.
