Negativland at Northwest Film Forum

2024-08-03 Hardly Raining

Experimental-music group Negativland played a live set at Northwest Film Forum on August 3, 2024. Negativland includes Mark Hosler, Jon Leidecker (AKA “Wobbly”), and David Wills (AKA “The Weatherman”), who joined by video from his Seattle home. They performed We Can Really Feel Like We’re Here, a collaboration with multimedia collage artist Sue Slagle (AKA “SUE-C“). Their last Seattle show was at the Clock-Out Lounge in September 2021.

The evening opened with a screening of Stand By for Failure: A Documentary about Negativland, directed by Seattle filmmaker Ryan Worsley. Worsley and Leidecker offered an audience Q&A after the film.

The event repeats tonight at 6:45 p.m., and tickets are still available. Negativland concludes their west-coast tour with stops in Olympia and Vancouver, B.C.
