British shoegaze pioneers Slowdive played Showbox SoDo on October 10, 2023. More than three decades after their debut, the group continues to enchant with layers of jangly guitar, plodding drums, dreamy vocals, and devastating emotional swells.
Personnel include Neil Halstead (vocals, guitar), Rachel Goswell (vocals, keys), Christian Savill (guitar), Simon Scott (drums, electronics), and Nick Chaplin (bass). The 15-song set emphasized their 1993 Souvlaki and 2017 Slowdive albums. Slowdive continues a tour in support of their September 2023 release, Everything is Alive.
