Innovative Grammy-nominated jazz artists Theo Croker (trumpet, electronics) and Kassa Overall (drums, vocals) played a double-bill at Nectar Lounge on February 28, 2024. Croker’s band included Mike King (keys), Giulio Cetto (bass), and Miguel Russell (drums). Joining Seattle native Overall were Tomoki Sanders (saxophone), Bendji Allance (percussion), and Matt Wong (keys). Both groups will perform again tonight at The Get Down in Portland.

The event was part of the 2024 Portland Biamp Jazz Festival Presented by PDX Jazz, which continues in Portland through March 2. This year’s festival also features several shows in Seattle: Next up is guitarist Julian Lage at Town Hall Seattle this evening.
