2024-08-25 Hardly Raining The annual Wiener Dog and Wannabe Races returned to Emerald Downs on August 25, 2024. See coverage of the 2021 event here. The Wiener Wannabe champion was “Ice Ice Lady” (trained by Trevor Schneider of Seattle), who defeated “Arlo the Long Boi” (trained by Jamie Jensen of Auburn) in a photo finish.

2024-06-01 Hardly Raining Seattle kicked off LGBTQ+ pride month with the Pride in the Park celebration at Volunteer Park. Presented by Seattle Pride, the six-hour outdoor event included live music, drag performances, DJ sets, vendors, and food trucks. The organizers announced that they expected 12,000 attendees. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Seattle Pride.
