Gazarek’s group included a NYC lineup of Julian Shore (piano), Matt Aranoff (bass), and Jared Schonig (drums), along with special guest Tatum Greenblatt (trumpet). First performing a mix of Gazarek’s compositions and jazz standards, they finished with a pretty version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” Gazarek is a Grammy-nominated artist, also performing with vocal supergroup säje. She released “Vanity” in 2022.

They played originals from Marriott’s latest albums, Live From the Heat Dome (2022) and Coast to Coast (2023). Marriott also founded the Seattle Jazz Fellowship and hosts a weekly jam session at the Royal Room.
